Your big old paws
Always ready to make kitty biscuits on a willing
Or unwilling!
Arm or back or any other body part you could reach
And that voice! Only a Siamese would consider that music

I would give a year of my own life just to hear you once again
Just to see you ‘cheetah cat’ across the back lawn
Your tail flying out behind you like a banner
Your eyes bright with mischief
To see your butt high in the air
Signaling the approach of a kitty feather
When we met you were so tiny
A pocketful of love and fur
You grew to rule my home
And my heart
I never noticed you grow old
It seemed one day you just didn’t want to run anymore
But your eyes still shone with love
The angels came for you
I know they did, I felt them
Now you’re running in fields of catnip
Howling up a storm
Wait for me, beloved kitty
Yowl for me once again when I reach Heaven’s gate
